Publication Release Party

On May 22nd we are having a release party for Welcome to the Cyberpunk Apocalypse: Issue 1. An intellectual property, and a silent art auction for Cyberpunk Apocalypse-themed art, at the Cyberpunk Apocalypse: 5431 Carnegie Street.
There will be a suggested donation of $3-5 per copy of the publication, and hanging out & having fun will be free
Artists wishing to be awesome and donate art for the auction should contact Daniel McCloskey--cyberpunkapocalypse@gmail.com soon because the art must be ready to be put up by the time of the event (!)
All proceeds will benefit the Cyberpunk Apocalypse writer's project.

Fun A Day

The Fun-A-Day was a smashing success. The weather was lovely, and the back house was chock full of art, and people. The front house is looking better every minute, and I think we will be up to gear once April hits. One week from yesterday is when we find out whether we'll be awarded the sprout seed award. If we get it the amount of good we can do here will get a real jump-start.

We're hosting an open house and potluck on the 21st from 3-6 pm. We'll have food, drink, show off the space, and discuss the types of things that we'll be doing there. Afterward we'll be heading to the Unsmoke Systems Gallery for my sister's opening.

It should be a good time.

KEYWORDS: a new home, phase II, transition.

I've settled on an a price with the owner of two little houses in upper Lawrenceville. They sit back to back, sharing a little yard, near 54th between Dobson and Carnegie Streets. The insides are pristine (nicer than any house or apartment I've ever lived in), but don't worry the sterile white walls won't last long.

Sara was right when she said it was a fucker-upper. I can't stop daydreaming about which walls need to be ripped down, where new walls ought to be made--who we can invite to install art, design shelves of scrap, and ultimately live in the cyberpunk apocalypse. My buddy Pat is certified in tunnel building and secret room construction (this will likely prove useful).

With any luck this agreement will be finalized, a deed will be signed, and these houses will soon be converted from simple rental properties into a bridge that connects fantasy with reality.
