The Cyberpunk Apocalypse is pleased to be featured on the front cover of this week's Pittsburgh City Paper. Pick one up if you haven't already. For folks who are viewing this web site for the the first time, welcome, and we hope to see you at one of the upcoming events. This weekend is going to be pretty spectacular, with both a cool-off (on Saturday) and a touring zine performance (Sunday). Both events start at 7 pm sharp.

Maximum Family Story Hour!

The wonderful stay of our current visiting writer Max Wheeler is coming to a close. If you haven't met him yet, you have less than a week to right that wrong. His end-of-the-residency event will be on Friday, July 29 at 7 pm at the house. He will be reading stories from his own family and encourages you to do the same. Bring a 1-5 minute story to read/say aloud. You know, one of those funny and/or touching family favorites? Yeah, one of those. Max will also be showing the prints he's been working on at AIR this month.

Thanks to everyone who helped us reach our house Kickstarter goal, by the way. We're excited to have so many more sbscribers to our Zine of the Month Club. Meanwhile, Max still has a week left of his Kickstarter project to put out a record and comic for the band Spooktober.

(Also coming up on Saturday, Artnoose and the zine Ker-bloom! will be at the DC Zine Fest, so if you're in or around that city, stop on by and say hello.)

27% and counting

The house is packed right now. 4 traveling zinesters are sharing the floor. Max is our new visiting writer, and tonight we're having a dinner with some of our previous residents. It's as good a time as any to point out what the Cyberpunk Apocalypse is doing to connect writers from outside Pittsburgh to our town. Within a few weeks of each other we are hosting readings for folks from California and Australia. We have people here from all over America--I mean right now (they're in the same room as me while I write this).

If you like what we're doing, and you haven't looked at our Kickstarter yet, please do. We have a great start--we're 27% funded--but we've started to slow down as we come toward the middle of our campaign.
